ENTRUST Solutions Group Designer II in San Ramon, California

Description

What You’ll Do:

  • Put together Permit Packages to submit for approval to the appropriate agencies and assist in Engineering Plan Development using AutoCAD

  • Draft permit sketches to scale, according to agency-specific criteria for non-estimated work; Adding face of curb, distance to face of curb, and other miscellaneous requested details from agency to construction plans for permit acquisition

  • Utilize SAP/Salesforce, GIS, and construction drawings to determine the impact on public ROW, select appropriate Traffic Control Plan, and acquire necessary permits (encroachment, building)

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and local agencies, provide permit updates, and track permit from pre-submittal to restoration/permit close in SAP

  • Create and run Salesforce reports applicable to encroachment permitting process

  • Monitor permit process changes and bottlenecks, implementing solutions for timely project mobilization

  • Communicate to Job Owner / Project Manager, GC FE or M&C crew foreman any specific or new/different requirements on the approved permit, updating records in SAP long text and Salesforce

This is a hybrid remote & onsite role that will regularly require regular in-person visits to San Jose, CA

Required Qualifications:

  • S. Civil Engineering

  • 3-5 years of experience with Engineering Plan Development

  • Experience with AutoCAD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Underground Construction Background, preferably in Utilities – Gas or Electric

Benefits & Salary:

  • This position pays between $80,000 and $95,000 annually and is an exempt position.

  • Benefits offered include company sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually.

  • Full time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours.

  • May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
