We are looking for friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Cashiers to join our team in San Mateo! Robert Half's government agency client is looking for a temp-to-hire candidate available to start beginning of March. If you enjoy interacting with people, have a knack for numbers, and thrive in a fast-paced setting, we encourage you to apply!

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with their purchases.

• Efficiently and accurately process transactions using our POS system, including cash handling, credit card processing, and handling returns/exchanges.

• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring adequate supplies are stocked.

• Follow all company policies and procedures, including cash handling and security protocols.

• Build rapport with customers, creating a positive and memorable shopping experience.

  Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• A positive and enthusiastic attitude with a genuine desire to help others.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash accurately.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

• Previous customer service experience is highly desired, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate!

• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (as needed).
