Description We are in search of a Controller to join our team in San Luis Obispo, California. In this role, you will be a key figure within our finance and accounting team, delivering accounting services to our internal and external stakeholders. You will be entrusted with the generation of financial statements, reports, and reconciliations, and play a vital role in our annual budget and audit process.

Responsibilities:

• Generate timely and accurate monthly financial statements

• Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with company programs, practices, and policies

• Assist with the preparation of budgets and coordinate the annual budget preparation by all departments

• Prepare and issue monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and volume comparison for variances to budget and previous year

• Conduct detailed reviews of all balance sheet accounts, ensuring timely reconciliation and resolution of discrepancies

• Monitor and manage cash flow in line with company objectives

• Manage all aspects of the general ledger and financial reporting

• Engage with external partners and stakeholders, including auditors, consultants, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies

• Manage the annual audit process from start to finish

• Manage all required tax filings and payments, including sales tax, fuel tax, payroll tax, and income tax

• Provide financial training to staff, particularly in management and budgeting. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is preferred.

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is necessary.

• Knowledge of ERP Solutions is essential.

• Ability to handle Accounting Functions effectively.

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is important.

• Auditing skills are a must.

• Familiarity with Budget Processes is needed.

• CPA certification is preferred.
