General Description

  • Analyzes business results and processes for Social Commitment Division.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor sustainability trends and assess the implications for Popular’s corporate sustainability and business strategy.

  • Organize and manage Sustainability and ESG materiality assessments and stakeholder engagement reviews.

  • Research, write, and manage production of Popular’s sustainability disclosures including the Sustainability Report, Human Rights Statement, among others.

  • Review peer disclosures and provide recommendations on how to enhance Popular’s sustainability and ESG communications.

  • Review requirements for and complete ESG rating submissions.

  • Engage with ESG rating agencies to capture and analyze ratings and feedback (e.g. MSCI, ISS, Sustainalytics).

  • Write, edit and produce Q&A documents, talking points, presentations and other materials to support management.

  • Work with internal stakeholders to support, as needed, social investment initiatives, such as capacity building programs, charitable donations, environmental programs, sponsorships, and others.

  • Review and manage key quality control processes, also in conjunction with annual audits

  • Support the assurance process of non-financial data for the Social Commitment Division.

  • Handle other projects, duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This Job has no supervisory responsibilities but in special circumstances may lead the work of others.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Information Systems, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics or a similar field.

Experience

  • At least three to four years of related experience in business analysis or project coordination.

Certifications / Licenses (Nice to have)

Business Analyst Certification

PMP

Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)

Other Qualifications

  • High proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, Word and PowerPoint

  • Exceptional project management skills can be relied on to get the job done accurately and on time. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to manage urgent and potentially conflicting priorities

  • Strong analytical skills and an acute attention to detail.

  • Ability to conduct research, analyze information and draw conclusions.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Skilled writer who can adjust his or her writing style to fit a variety of channels and circumstances

  • Ability to analyze complex information from multiple sources and provide succinct summaries and recommendations

  • Entrepreneurial with an interest in sustainability and ESG

  • Proven ability to collaborate with team and generate solutions

  • Ability to handle and protect sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner
