THE ROLE: SALES ANALYST ​

The focus of the Sales Analyst is to provide analytical & executional support on the H+WC brands at Target. The position is responsible for proactively analyzing and reviewing information on current business trends, identifying opportunities or risk and other tasks as assigned. The position also entails updating and communication of programming to key H+WC personnel. This role reports to the Sales Director – Target with a dotted line into the Sales Manager – Target + Ulta . ​

​ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ​

  • Mines all data sources including customers/shopper insights and syndicated data to provide actionable insights that help in the development of the 4Ps (Promotion, Pricing, Placement and Product) to grow H+WC business and share ​

  • Assist in pulling, interpreting and providing insights around key sales data and prepare clear, concise, storytelling presentations ​

  • Monitor competitive brands and products, as well as market share, to understand shopper trends and potential threats to H+WC business ​

  • Conduct post promotional and promotional efficiency analysis and identify optimal promotional strategies and opportunities ​

  • Manage tracking of new item launches at retail to ensure speed to shelf and item success in the market ​

  • Build selling deck and all necessary materials for customer meetings, including but not limited to sell-in stories, monthly meetings and line reviews using customer specific and syndicated data ​

  • Maintain and manage weekly reporting tools and dashboards for key customers ​

  • Evaluate current sales, share goals, and competitive performance ​

  • Support ad hoc requests in support of the Target business ​

  • Deduction management with third-party partners administration of Target’s online deduction (VMI) process ​

  • Full item management responsibility on all items on Target POL/IMN and Target.com ​

  • Collaborate across analyst team within Target to learn and share best practices ​

CAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED ​

  • 1-3 ye ars experience working in Sales Analytics with CPG experience preferred ​

  • Ability to convert information, numbers and data into insight for actionable growth ​

  • Adaptable with the ability to work both cross-functionally and independently with the potential for more responsibility as more platforms are launched ​

  • Ability to regularly lead meetings with retailers – specifically Inventory Analysts ​

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to give and receive effective feedback ​

  • Results-oriented with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, multitasking ability and motivated by a deadline driven environment ​

  • Strong PowerPoint, Excel and syndicated database skills (Nielsen, IRI, Numerator, etc ). ​

  • Experience working with IRI data reporting, Target’s Partners Online, and VIQ System ​

  • Energized and passionate about building a transformational brand in today's marketplace ​

  • A true “Team Player” who can work cross-functionally to achieve results ​

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE INTERVIEW PROCESS

  • Initial video screen with a member of our Talent team

  • Round 1: Conversation with the Hiring Manager + 1-2 conversations with other Ollies on the team

  • Round 2: 2-3 conversations with team or cross functional Ollies

  • Final Round: Homework*

    LOCATION: Remote

    HOURS: Full-time, non-exempt

    MANAGER: Sales Director – Target with dotted line to Sales Manager – Target + Ulta ​

    ​ ​ PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. ​

    The pay range for this position is $57,600 - 86,400 dependent on experience.
