Robert Half Property Accountant in San Francisco, California

Description

We are offering an opportunity for a GL Accountant to join our team located in San Francisco, California. You'll be responsible for a wide range of property accounting tasks, including managing financial transactions, ensuring bills are paid correctly, and overseeing full-cycle accounting procedures. This role is particularly suited to those with experience in managing multi-unit properties and small sites, and a thorough understanding of the real estate accounting industry.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage property management experience

• Ensure all bills are paid correctly and on time

• Oversee full-cycle accounting close processes

• Manage financial transactions for multi-unit and small site properties

• Prepare and deliver reports to funders as required

• Maintain and utilize knowledge of Yardi Voyager software for property management

• Support the Finance Director as needed

• Work in a hybrid work environment, with some days in the office

• Utilize skills in Property Accounting and Abila MIP software.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience with GL Accounting.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Abila MIP.

• Proven ability to prepare and maintain financial reports related to property management.

• Experience in conducting financial analysis and audits related to property accounting.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with various departments.

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws relating to property management and accounting.

• Familiarity with financial regulations and accounting principles.

• Experience with financial forecasting and risk analysis.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and act in the company's best interest.

• Proven track record of effectively handling complex accounting procedures.

• Adept at reviewing financial reports for discrepancies and rectifying errors.

• Strong problem-solving skills.
