BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to support the development and delivery of world class mission planning capabilities. The program is developing tomorrow s technology to enable cutting-edge mission planning for our warfighters. The team will leverage advanced testing products and techniques to develop the systems engineering products.
The primary tasks include the development of Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) and user stories, requirements analysis, backlog prioritization and management, technical documentation, sprint planning, analysis of alternatives, training material development, estimating and customer engagement. Assigned tasks may also include the development of software test procedures and test cases as well as test execution and reporting of all test results for all required test activities. Close interaction with other engineers within and across the development, test and integration teams is required to achieve program objectives.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed fulltime on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Required Education: Bachelor s Degree with 8 years of experience
Must possess an Active Secret Clearance
Ability to perform requirements identification, analysis, documentation, and tracking
Software installation, integration, checkout and manual test skills
Test automation experience using tools such as TestComplete, Jenkins, Eggplant, etc. or sufficient test scripting skills in a common scripting language such as Perl, Ruby or Python
Ability to participate in analyzing customer needs, and identifying user stories and technical tasks to achieve various Agile objectives and iterative development schedules
Ability to use statistical analysis methods and tools
Ability to work with customers in a dynamic environment
Ability to develop improved methods to increase program efficiency
Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic/collaborative environment (e.g., open seating arrangement)
Strong oral and written communications skills
Proficiency with MS Office applications
Proficiency with Agile management tools (e.g., Jira, etc.)
Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g. Git, Bitbucket, etc.)
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering or related discipline
Agile Systems Engineering related experience
Experience using SpiraTest
Proficiency with C / C#
Experience working with mission planning algorithms
Experience working with JMPS and a nominal understanding of NOMS
MBSE experience
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $130355 - $221603
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
