What you'll bring

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, or related field, with a strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design or equivalent experience

  • 9+ years of professional experience in software development, with a significant portion dedicated to Python, Typescript and developing large, complex distributed systems

  • Demonstrated experience in AI/ML technologies, with a proven track record of integrating AI-driven features into products

  • Proficiency in modern software development tools and methodologies, including Agile and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices

  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with cloud platforms, microservices architectures, RESTful APIs, and related technologies ideally within a SaaS model

  • Exceptional collaboration skills, with experience working closely with AI research teams, product management, and cross-disciplinary design teams (PM/XD) to define, scope, and prioritize product features

  • Advanced problem-solving abilities and capacity to make data-driven decisions

  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of driving technical concepts and strategies across diverse teams

  • Experience concepting, planning, and spearheading the launch of innovative product features in a fast-paced, result-oriented environment

How you will lead

  • Serve as a technical leader within the Intuit Assist for Virtual Experts team, driving significant technology initiatives from conception through successful deployment

  • Collaborate closely with AI research teams, Product Management (PM), and Experience Design (XD) to deliver seamless, AI-driven experiences.

  • Lead the design and development of resilient, scalable, and secure services that support unique AI-driven product features for QuickBooks & Turbotax users

  • Guide the team in adopting AI-driven innovation while maintaining a balance between operational excellence and engineering pragmatism

  • Own and progress the technical vision and architecture for the team, ensuring alignment with Intuit’s broader strategic goals

  • Actively seek out novel AI technologies and methodologies that can be leveraged to enhance the customer experience, contributing to Intuit’s position as a fintech innovator

  • Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation

  • Drive cross-functional initiatives with both technical and non-technical teams, ensuring smooth integration and deployment of AI capabilities

  • Work with PM/XD/Research to synthesize user feedback and metrics to drive continuous product improvement and customer benefits
