Your Opportunity
Your role as a Senior Medical Planner and Behavioral Health specialist is to partner and support our national and regional health sector’s Behavioral Health/Mental Health team with a specific emphasis on leading growth and strategy in California.
Your Key Responsibilities
Business Development: Serve as the primary conduit for Behavioral Health business development in California, including the development and implementation of a comprehensive business strategy.
Advocacy and Inspiration: Advocate for and inspire creativity, critical thinking, and design excellence both internally and externally.
Pursuit Leader Activities: Serve as a pursuit leader or support as a subject matter expert in business development activities, including marketing proposals, interviews, and conference attendance.
Talent Acquisition: Aid in identifying, recruiting, and interviewing design staff at all levels.
Collaboration and Vision: Foster collaboration between offices while promoting and providing a clear design vision.
Mentorship: Act as a mentor, teacher, and coach to design staff, guiding them through their careers.
Quality Assurance: Evaluate the quality of design and design activities, ensuring a high level of design quality throughout the firm.
Brand Development: Develop and implement the firm’s brand, image, marketing collateral, and business collateral.
Award Submissions: Oversee and participate in the production of design award submissions.
Design Dialogue: Engage staff in dialogue on design, ensure the design process is followed, and influence the use of technological tools.
Firm Messaging: Serve as a vehicle for delivering the firm’s message on design.
Portfolio Building: Identify and direct project photography, written descriptions, and other media to support building the firm’s portfolio.
Ambassadorship: Act as an ambassador and steward of the firm’s portfolio, guiding and educating others

Interpretation Skills: Interpret sketches, drawings, codes, building programs, and other similar materials.
Presentation Skills: Exhibit strong presentation and interview skills, presenting abstract ideas to clients and client representatives.
Cultural Awareness: Demonstrate maturity and cultural awareness both internally and externally.
Industry Knowledge: Possess general knowledge of building construction systems, constructability, materials, and industry standards.
Technical Proficiency: Understand and utilize Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and Newforma
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field
Registered architect in California, preferred.
Minimum of 7-8 years of experience.
Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s):
Salary Range(s):
- SF Area $123,700/CA Other Areas $108,000 - SF Area $185,600/CA Other Areas $173,800 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CA (SF Area includes SF, SJS & WLC)
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
