SAIC Provisioning Specialist SAN DIEGO, California
Description
SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Provisioning Specialist to support our Submarine Communications program for Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic. This role is integral to our Supply Chain Management (SCM) and involves determining and acquiring the range and quantity of spares, repair parts, and support/test equipment necessary to operate and maintain an end item of materiel for an initial period of service. The successful candidate will work closely with Program Managers (PM), Materiel Managers, and Primary Inventory Control Activities (PICA) to ensure logistics requirements and supply chain costs are addressed comprehensively within the total life-cycle systems management. This full-time role is onsite in San Diego, CA. Must be local to area.
JOB SKILLS:
Manage and document technical and logistics data relevant to end item supply support, ensuring accessibility for both DoD and commercial materiel managers.
Interpret Installation Design Plans (IDPs), Installation Requirements Drawings (IRDs), and Bills of Material (BOMs).
Manage provisioning data using tools such as Logistics Product Data (LPD).
Understanding of Navy’s requirement for PTD delivery in ICAPS-accepted formats, including the use of LPD summaries and Provisioning Parts Data (PPD).
Ability to lead provisioning conferences and cross-functional teams.
Utilizing relevant logistics software such as:
Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
Interactive Computer Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS)
One Tough System (OTS)
Web Federal Logistics Information System (WEBFLIS)
Configuration Data Managers Database - Open Architecture (CDMD-OA)
Integrated Logistics Information Tool (ILIT)
Model-Based Product Support (MBPS).
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree and ten (10) years or more of related experience in defense life cycle (acquisition) logistics support of electronic systems, to include: logistics principles, practices, and processes. One (1) year of experience in support of Navy Command, Control, Communications, Computers, & Intelligence (C4I) systems.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must have an Active Secret Clearance to start.
Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance after start.
Strong understanding of NAVSEA provisioning and allowance procedures.
Knowledge of relevant logistics software – Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Interactive Computer Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS), One Tough System (OTS), Web Federal Logistics Information System (WEBFLIS), Configuration Data Managers Database - Open Architecture (CDMD-OA), Integrated Logistics Information Tool (ILIT), Model-Based Product Support (MBPS).
Knowledge of provisioning parts lists (PPL), short form provisioning parts lists (SFPPL), and other relevant documentation.
Proficiency in using the ICAPS to manage and deliver Provisioning Technical Data (PTD).
Ability to interpret Installation Design Plans (IDPs), Installation Requirements Drawings (IRDs), and Bills of Material (BOMs).

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
