Job Summary
Provides technical, programmatic and GFE support for the Surface New Construction IPT developing tracking tools supporting DDG 51 reporting requirements to PMW 760 and managing GFE deliveries to the Test Integration Facility (TIF) and new construction DDG 51s at industry shipyards.
Responsibilities and Duties
Candidate shall provide programmatic, technical, and GFE support for the Surface New Construction IPT, developing tracking tools supporting DDG 51 reporting requirements to PMW 760 and managing GFE deliveries to the Test Integration Facility (TIF) and new construction DDG 51s at industry shipyards. Assist with programmatic, technical, engineering analyses, and reporting for assigned projects. Participate in meetings that impact GFE deliveries, ship baselines, potential change impacts and other programmatic and engineering working groups (ANWG, TIWG, etc.) in support of the DDG 51 new construction program. Support Project Lead by participating in regular meetings to maintain and communicate awareness of project status. Candidate must have experience using GEMIS for GFE and Ship Project Directive (SPD) management and manage/review SPD Part II and Part III. Candidate will provide management/coordination to other ship classes/platforms required (DDG/SCN). Provide other programmatic and engineering support to NAVWAR, NIWC, and PEO C4I as required.
Qualifications and Skills
Required knowledge and years of experience
Ten (10) years of direct work experience with C4ISR or similar program/projects. Eight (8) years of direct work experience to include design/development, production, installation, test and evaluation. Experience supervising project personnel and/or team, scheduling work, writing proposals/or preparing bids, ordering/transporting equipment, and material. Shall have written and oral communications abilities commensurate with this management role. Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
