Summary
This role is responsible for delivering and managing data management services within the enterprise, encompassing data architecture, data lake development, data warehousing, in-memory data platforms, metadata management, data science, enterprise integration, database design, and modeling. The ideal candidate will not only design, develop, deploy, maintain, and enhance data platforms but also drive the execution and business adoption of data strategies to support enterprise-wide analytics and operations. Lead end-to-end delivery of data platforms and enterprise data solutions, ensuring timely execution while aligning with business objectives.
This position will support our IT team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show site 2-3 days per week. The ideal candidate will be based out of any of the following locations:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborate with business and IT leadership to establish governance frameworks and drive the effective use of data for business intelligence, reporting, and advanced analytics.
Develop and execute a roadmap for continuously enhancing Enterprise Data Platforms to meet evolving business needs.
Architect and build data pipelines and modeling workflows that adhere to data engineering best practices, ensuring quality, transparency, and scalability.
Work closely with Application System Teams and Infrastructure Teams to synchronize EDW/BI systems with enterprise applications and cloud infrastructure.
Drive modernization initiatives for analytics capabilities, processes, and enterprise-wide data practices, fostering a data-driven culture.
Lead and mentor data engineering teams, ensuring alignment with best practices in software delivery, agile methodologies, and DevOps principles.
Oversee logistics projects by developing predictive models and statistical analysis techniques to optimize enterprise efficiency.
Expand AI capabilities by partnering with cloud providers (Microsoft, AWS, GCP) and identifying strategic AI and Data Science opportunities.
Develop and implement an enterprise-wide data strategy, encompassing global platform architecture, enterprise data services, and AI/ML integration.
Partner with cross-functional teams to define and refine a multi-year data roadmap, ensuring data and analytics drive measurable business impact.
Establish and manage vendor relationships to enhance enterprise data capabilities through third-party solutions and partnerships.
Design and implement scalable data architectures and integration strategies, including data warehouses, and real-time data pipelines.
Champion the adoption of emerging data science and AI methodologies, ensuring continuous innovation and knowledge sharing across the organization.
Ensure data quality, security, and compliance across all enterprise data platforms and external data sources.
Education & Experience
10+ years of experience in the tech industry, with prior experience leading data or engineering groups.
Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required.
Proven track record of successfully leading and nurturing teams while reinforcing tech best practices and fostering a culture of excellence.
Experience bringing novel technologies to commercial scale and leading rapidly growing teams tackling hard technical challenges.
Expertise in Integration tools, Databases, Cloud-based data platforms (Azure).
Strong leadership in cross-functional environments, with a collaborative approach to driving enterprise-wide data initiatives.
Experience in portfolio management and prioritizing large-scale data and analytics programs across business units.
Proven ability to manage and modernize legacy systems, driving cloud-based transformations and next-generation architectures.
Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks; certifications in Agile leadership, Architecture, Product Management, or Scrum Master are a plus.
Experience in large organizational management, including road mapping, organizational structures (staffing and budget), and people leadership for coaching and mentoring.
