**Job Summary and Description

Oversees financial accounting and reporting activities for all grants and contracts including federal, state, local, and ad hoc reports. Ensures that existing procedures and controls are adequate to provide compliance with financial terms, conditions, and reporting requirements of externally awarded programs and initiatives. Reviews, advises, and educates end users of regulatory financial and other compliance requirements, changes and/or updates of grants and contracts. Evaluates and address ACDs ability to fulfill requirements to secure future awards. Maintains oversight of grants and contracts accounting cycle to sustain the accuracy of financial records and timely reporting. Supervises grants accounting staff.   • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, or a related field or a combination of relevant experience, education and training that equates to the required degree.
  • Five years of experience managing funded grants within an organizational context and working with a variety of offices and initiatives, with at least three years in a supervisory capacity.

Masters degree in accounting or related field.

Post-award grant and contract accounting and reporting experience.
