Tax Manager

We are seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial-minded and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our client's team at a versatile and boutique accounting firm. This is a fully-remote opportunity to provide outstanding service to a wide variety of clients and to continue to grow and maintain the expanding tax side of the business. This position requires exceptional communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships; requiring strong technical tax knowledge, excellent management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a small team of accounting professionals.

Responsibilities:

• File and review a variety of taxes, including S-corps, 1065 Partnerships, 1040’s, W2’s, etc.

• Streamline processes and advise on clients' tax questions.

• Collaborate with the leadership team on best practices and growth strategies.

• Mentor tax preparers and educate them on new and changing laws and regulations.

• Identify opportunities for tax savings and implement action plans to achieve these savings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or EA preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of tax experience.

• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.

• Experience with tax research tools and software.

• Ability to work independently in a remote office setting
