University of Utah Sr. Radiochemist in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

Performs development, manufacturing, and quality control to support production of clinical and research radiopharmaceuticals for positron emission tomography (PET) and radiotherapy. Incumbent must comply with radiation safety procedures, cGMP, and FDA requirements. Operates, maintains and validates manufacturing and analytical equipment. Follows all internal operating procedures and performs additional duties as directed by management. Must be motivated, team oriented and committed to expanding their knowledge and experience in a clinically oriented academic program. Incumbent will experience moderate exposure to hazardous materials or physical risk, which requires adhering to radiation safety practices. Full time position involving a variable schedule around production demands. The incumbent will have shifts that follow the research and development needs of the laboratory and can start anywhere between 4 - 10 am in the morning with a shift of 8-10 hours a day Monday through Friday. These time frames may need to adjust as demands change. As a Sr. Radiochemist, flexible hours working with clinical and research needs will be necessary.
