AMERICAN CYBER SYSTEMS INC Senior Manager, Contract Marketing - Commercial in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah
The Senior Manager, Contracting is a key commercial role in the US Contracting Organization. This role serves as the lead interface between US Contracting and the Corporate Legal team and leads the Commercial Negotiation team.
The Sr Manager, Contract Marketing will lead a team responsible for contract negotiations for all US contracts from analysis/negotiation and redlining including amendments. The team will include contract analysts and contract negotiators.
The role is a dynamic commercial role reporting to the Director, Contract Marketing. This leader will have an opportunity to coach and develop a strong team, work directly with other members of the contracts team, Legal team, and interface with business unit leaders, marketing, finance, sales, and others in the day-to-day role. In addition, the role will work directly with Customers to advance ICU Medical's strategic revenue and margin growth opportunities.
A key element of the role will be to assess on-going needs for process improvement and coaching and development of the team. The leader of this team should also focus on playbooks, monitor time to deliver responses and tools to enable effective internal updates to key stakeholders.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Maximize opportunities for ICU Medical revenue and margin growth by driving successful contracting initiatives for IDN/customer contracts.
- Develop training documents for use of approved templates and library of responses.
- Responsible for authoring Commercial Contracts and Contract Amendments.
- Customer facing role that will play lead to promote ICU Medical terms and conditions to successfully complete contract negotiations.
- Point person for initial redlines of Commercial Contracts (both standard templates and customer provided templates) including Business Associates Agreements and Technology Agreements.
- Provide ongoing guidance to managers and analysts who both directly report and in the broader contracts team during contract development and redlining including owning the drafting and document control for key negotiations.
- Track and provide feedback to both Legal and commercial teams to improve standard templa tes and customer responses.
- Primary interface between Contracting team and other key functional areas including Quality, Regulatory, Treasury, Supply Chain to support contract negotiation.
- Effective communicator that can support customer and sales facing calls to negotiate contract terms.
- Maintain and follow Contract Management System / Process to ensure documents are stored, tracked and maintained.
- Responsible for on-going process improvements designed to support the Commercial business, including review and improvement of templates to drive Commercial efficiencies.
- Internally Collaborate with Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Field Sales to both strategically and tactically manage contracting needs.
- Serve as a commercial leader and go to person for the Sales Leadership Teams.
- Enforce the teams adherence to ICU Medical policies by promoting, developing and monitoring Standard Operating Procedures.
- Work on special assignments as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
- Extensive understanding of both the Commercial Business and Contract Language and Development.
- Prior talent management/training experience.
- Prior experience with medical device contracts;
- Strong Customer-facing negotiation skills; Effective internal collaboration skills
- Strong problem solving skills; ability to translate Customer needs to workable solution that aligns with Corporate strategy/policy
- Good time management and prioritization skill set
- High degree of collaboration; ability to work cross-functionally to drive for results
- Strong team player
Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or universit is required. Master's degree preferred.
- Paralegal experience preferred.
- 7 - 10 years of experience required.
Work Environment
- This is largely a sedentary role.
- This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
- Typically requires travel 5% of the time

This role is based remotely; the incumbent may be remote in any state other than Colorado; California; Connecticut; Montana, Maine or New York.
