University of Utah Nuclear Pharmacist in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah
Performs compounding and dispensing of PET Radiopharmaceuticals. Also may perform manufacturing, quality control, and quality assurance of PET radiopharmaceuticals. Position will manage a team of radiopharmacists and staff related to the radiopharmacy. Position will take on responsibilities in quality oversite and product release requiring the individual to have necessary experience or willingness to be trained in quality assurance according to 21 CFR 212 and other regulatory requirements. Must be motivated, team oriented and committed to expanding their knowledge and experience in a clinically oriented academic and commercial program. Incumbent will experience moderate exposure to hazardous materials or physical risk, which requires adhering to radiation and other safety practices. Full time position involving a variable schedule based on production demands. Typical shift will be from 6:00 am 2:30 pm but may need to be adjusted based on radiopharmaceutical production and dispensing needs. There will also be some on-call requirement as necessary. The typical work week is Monday through Friday. In rare instances a weekend shift may be required.
