Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician II to join our team. The ideal candidate will have attended schooling for a specific trade or possess 4-6 years of experience in a relevant field. The HVAC Technician II will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various systems and equipment in accordance with BioMerieux policies and procedures.

Primary Duties

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems.

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to ensure optimal performance of equipment.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and BioMerieux policies and procedures.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.

  • Collaborate with other team members to resolve complex issues and improve operational efficiency.

  • Attend and complete required schooling and certification programs for specific trades.

  • Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

  • Conduct safety training and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards, codes, and regulations related to maintenance

  • Prioritize projects and daily requests, assigning them to internal teams or external resources.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Training, Education, Experience

    HVAC:

  • Gas certifications.

  • Universal refrigeration type universal license.

  • NATE certifications.

  • 4-6 years’ Commercial experience HVAC

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Journey out by attending schooling for a specific trade or 4-6 years of experience in a relevant field.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment.

  • Commitment to safety and continuous learning.

    Working Conditions

  • Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods.

  • Ability to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like.

  • Ability to wear PPE correctly most of the day.

  • Ability to adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.

  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, and noise.
