Fabrication Specialist A

Salt Lake City, UT

Contract Position

$21.63-$30.28/Hour

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble composite and metal components according to engineering specifications and blueprints.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for precision assembly.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to safety regulations.
  • Document assembly processes and maintain accurate production records.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (technical degree or certification preferred).
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in composite and metal assembly, preferably in aerospace or manufacturing.
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
    • Familiarity with assembly techniques, tools, and fabrication processes.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
    • Comfortable working in standing, bending, and kneeling positions for extended periods.
    • Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and varying temperatures.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Successful completion of training programs (classroom and on-the-job training).
    • Potential for overtime (OT) opportunities as needed.
