Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in St Louis Earnings Tx, Missouri. The selected candidate will be a part of our accounting department, focusing on the administration of payroll and related tasks. This role will involve the use of various accounting software systems and an understanding of payroll tax laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Processing payroll on a bi-weekly or monthly basis, depending on company policy

• Maintaining and updating employee records, including changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, job titles, and departmental or division transfers

• Ensuring all payroll processes comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements

• Preparing and reviewing payroll reports for accuracy before submission

• Resolving payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information from finance and HR departments

• Reconciling payroll data and ensuring any discrepancies are addressed and rectified promptly

• Responding to employee inquiries related to payroll issues or concerns

• Working closely with HR to align payroll activities such as benefits, deductions, etc.

• Remaining updated with current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws associated with the processing of employee wage data

• Utilizing accounting software systems like ADP - Financial Services, Ceridian, IBM AS/400, Kronos Timekeeping System, and others in performing daily tasks Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential.

• Experience with Ceridian, IBM AS/400, and Kronos Timekeeping System is highly desirable.

• Knowledge and experience in 401k - RRSP Administration is required.

• Familiarity with About Time software is a plus.

• Solid understanding of accounting functions.

• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is needed.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
