JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: CDL DRIVER and PEER/FAMILY RECOVERY, RECRUITMENT SPECIALIST **(Part Time or Full Time) Hours: Evening and Weekend hours as needed Supervisor: Vice President, Programs

Definitions:

  1. CDL DRIVER/PEER/FAMILY RECOVERY, EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST - For purposes of this position, the IDEAL candidate is an individual that helps individuals and families regain control of their lives throughrecoveryfrom addiction, mental health issues, or drug abuse. This involves working with individuals and families dealing with serious level of mental illness, assisting the individuals and families in identifying life goals and making progress toward those goals, including getting patient and family into treatment, helping them get job training and assisting them get good job employment. This specialist help the individuals and their families attain good help and achieve economic stability.
  2. SERVICES - this includes: (a) Recovery Support; (b) Employment Assistance; (c) Training Assistance, and serve as driver for HTCs mobile clinic and 12-seater van.

Functions:

Develop and maintain an effective community and families outreach to identify individuals and families needing services in

Hi-Tech Charities target areas of Metro St. Louis (St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles) and rural counties (Jefferson, St. Genevieve, St. Francios, Washington).

Drive 12-seater van to outreach sites and provide to Recovery Clients and families, services that include RECOVERY, EMPLOYMENT, and TRAINING services.

Through community and family outreach, identify and enroll into HTC Treatment and Counseling programs, a minimum of ten (10) patients/clients per week.

Working with HTC Treatment and Counseling staff, identify Recovery Clients who are appropriately prepared and ready, and enroll a minimum of nine (9) patients/clients per week, into Missouri Career Centers and other employment agencies for employment and training services, and a minimum of seven (7) getting job per week, to help the Recovery Clients attain economic stability, self-sufficiency, and the ability to support self and family.

Through community and family outreach, identify and provide housing counseling and accommodation assistance to 100% of those needing shelter or accommodation, facilitating housing for clients and helping the homeless secure housing accommodation in various facilities in HTC target areas.

Collaborate with other community-based and faith-based organizations and agencies that would result to more community members participating in HTC Treatment and Counseling programs.

Maintain project logs, reports and records in appropriate files and database(s).
