In this role, a typical day will look like:

People Consultation:

  • Develop and deploy locally relevant strategies that enable a people focused culture including engagement and well being

  • Coach potential and high potential talent regarding individual development and career planning in support of succession​

  • Build effective teams (new leader assimilation, Team norms workship, team diagnosis and solutions, culture diagnosis, etc)

  • Train new and experienced people leaders on their core leadership responsibilities and associated behaviors

  • Consult with and advise managers to address associate performance deficits and/or employee relations issues.

  • Support individual talent development needs through coaching and planning solutions.

Strategic Partnering:

  • Gain understanding of business challenges by going to gemba (where the work is done), participating in PSP and functional Kaizen, etc

  • Maintian KPIs and conduct data analysis to predict, detect and solve business problems using DBS tools such as PSP and Kaizen

  • Enable functional strategies by supporting workforce planning strategies (compensation design, org structure, talent strategy)

  • Partner with business leaders in development of comprehensive change management plans to accelerate change

  • Develop employment policies and practices to address chronic challenges

  • Document new and improve existing Standard Work and Processes to meet the changing needs of the business

Process Administration:

  • Identify process improvements and drive optimized processes

  • Enable execution excellence for key HR processes (merit, engagement, compliance training, annual performance, new-hire onboarding, etc.)

  • Mitigate risk through compliant execution of HR processes (e.g. time off including legally required leaves of absence, long-term sickness time, annual leave/vacation benefits, etc.

  • Liaise with legal representatives including worker’s councils, bargaining units, etc ensuring compliant changes to terms and conditions of employment

Problem Resolution:

  • Proactively build trust with leaders and associates to ensure credibility and buy in when solving tough problems

  • Quickly respond to line manager needs in the moment or with action planning if needed

  • Partner, as needed, on internal investigations and implements solutions to resolve problems and mitigate risk

Are you qualified?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field with 8 - 10+ years of HR Generalist experience (or an equivalent combination) in a high growth, rapidly changing environment, with a solid track record of successfully executing HR programs and initiatives.

  • 3+ years HR experience supporting non-exempt distribution or manufacturing client groups.

  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop leaders in an HR Business partner relationship

  • Strong technical aptitude (HRIS, Power BI, data analysis, etc.)

  • Must have worked in a metrics-driven organization with demonstrated understanding how HR impacts the business.

  • Desire to work on-site full time to partner with and support on-site team.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus

  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, etc.)

  • HR experience working in a medium to large sized organization

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $150,000.00 - $165,000.00 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.

We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
