Job Title: Receptionist

Job Description

The representative will ensure that all applicants, recipients, spouses, attorneys, or other member representatives receive extraordinary service when communicating with clients via phone, fax, written correspondence, or email. The representative may contact recipients by phone or mail and in each communication provide empathetic and efficient service.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls

  • Document phone calls in SharePoint

  • Provide information to callers from SharePoint and 2200

  • Navigate and provide accurate information regarding the company websites

  • Monitor incoming calls and calls waiting via Taske

  • Receive and respond to incoming emails from company websites

  • Pick up and handle messages from Nightline

  • Route calls to appropriate individual or department when necessary

  • Send a fax via RightFax when requested by the caller

  • Print statements when requested by the caller

  • Perform special projects as requested by management

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ Years of reception experience preferred

  • High School diploma required, some college preferred

  • Listens well with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal communications

  • Demonstrates ability to manage stressful situations while maintaining a flexible, positive and cooperative demeanor

  • Responds promptly to operations leaders and stakeholders to facilitate informed decision making

  • Presents a professional image in the office

Work Environment

This is a 100% in-office position without the ability to work remotely. Hours are 8am – 4pm with occasional mandatory overtime starting at 7:30 am. Upon conversion after the training period, employees would be eligible for telework, requiring them to be in the office 3 days a week, with all staff required to be in on Wednesdays. This is a bargaining unit position that will require joining the union and paying union dues monthly. The position will have a 7-hour workday with a flexible schedule from 7:30-8:30am to 3 or 4pm.
