Boehringer Ingelheim Electronics Technician in Ridgefield, Connecticut

Description

To repair, maintain, service, troubleshoot, design, and program the various life safety, communication, and security systems on site, in order to maintain a continuous state of operations for the purposes of research, manufacturing, and storing of pharmaceutical products and facility operations. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design, troubleshoot, service, maintain and repair life safety and security systems such as fire alarm, CCTV, card reader. Create, perform and monitor routine PM´s for these systems.

  • Assist with problem solving activities and provide recommendations when asked.

  • Operate the current Computerized Maintenance Management System for work order processing.

  • Maintain programming and the ordering of material for the on-site radio system.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Two-year technical degree from an accredited institution in electronics required and five to seven (5-7) years of experience in PLC control systems, life safety, fire alarm, and/or security systems, both servicing and programming. Or eight to ten (8-10) years relevant experience.

  • Experience in PLC control systems, life safety, fire alarm, and/or security systems, both servicing and programming.

  • Experience troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems.

  • Strong organizational skills required to plan service/repairs with minimal system interruption.

  • Experience in various life safety, communication, and security systems.

  • Work impacts GxP, life safety and security operations. Knowledge of regulations and relevant SOP´s required.

Compensation: This position offers a base salary typically between $68,000.00 and $95,000.00 USD. There is opportunity to consider higher compensation above this range based on business need, candidate experience and or skills.
