We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

Works fairly independently on the most complex projects, at the highest technical level, of all phases of applications systems analysis activities. Formulates or defines system scope and objectives, based on user needs. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems, considering computer capacity and limitations, operating time, and desired results. Works with multiple business units, in multi-platform environments, on multi-project assignments. Guides and advises less experienced Systems Analysts. Monitored on projects' progress and results.

Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Position requires 6+ years of relevant experience in directly related field to include:

• 18+ months experience in Electric Transmission

• 8+ years' experience with Windows and Linux/Unix platforms

• 5+ years' experience utilizing SQL database solutions

• 18+ months technical knowledge and experience with deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting PowerSYSTEM Center 2020, using vendor-provided software, as well as self-developed scripts or programs

• 1+ years technical experience with iTOA® (integrated Tools for Operations Application) to include cross-platform deployments, configuration, and testing

• Able to handle the most complex work and all aspects of the job using wide knowledge of the field and mastery (advanced knowledge, skill and/or abilities that provides subject matter authority and superior command in a particular job) of the subject matter

• May provide input in setting objectives and policy, identifying critical issues and introducing new concepts

• Makes decisions independently

• Intimate knowledge of Dominion Energy domains

• Must have an active Centralized Services domain account

• Experience interfacing with Electric Transmission Field Operations (ETFO) and System Operations Center (SOC) field workers, technicians, and supervisors

• Provides assistance, advice, and solutions to peers, customers, and co-workers

• Identifies and implements better work alternatives and business processes

Experience performing the following, using the AVEVA PI System:

• Deploying the AVEVA PI System across a multi-server Windows Server 2019/2022 configuration

• Bulk-loading historical to current data using self-developed scripts

• Fixing corrupted archives with the in-line piarchss utility

• Deploying and configuring PI-to-PI data interfaces

• Creating analyses and notifications using Asset Framework

Scripting experience, to include: BASH, KornShell, Powershell, MSSQL, Oracle SQL

Ability to read and provide input for code using the following languages: C, C++, Java/Javascript

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor

Preferred Discipline(s): Business, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics
