The Richmond Campus of Bryant & Stratton College is accepting applications for a full-time Facilities Manager.

Essential Position Responsibilities/Functions:

  • Plan, assign, supervise and evaluate maintenance/cleaning/security staff.

  • Review and evaluate requests for maintenance and make assignments to ensure safe and timely completion of all requests.

  • Manage all outsourced services including construction, maintenance, and landscaping.

  • Review building department purchase orders, invoices, and other documents for accuracy of information and adherence to department budgets.

  • Manage preparation of facilities for special events.

  • Manage classroom readiness for each semester.

  • Institute a regular cleaning schedule utilizing appropriate staff.

  • Institute a preventative maintenance schedule for each campus building.

  • Maintain fixed asset inventory using applicable computer software.

  • Provide for appropriate weather related preparations and cleanup.

  • Ensure grounds are properly maintained.

  • Secure bids for capital improvements and appropriate outsourced services.

  • Manage capital improvement projects at each campus building.

  • Oversee receiving and distribution of mail and deliveries.

  • Organize and maintain storage areas, including coordinating future record keeping initiatives.

  • Perform cleaning, maintenance and repairs as needed.

  • Move furniture and equipment as necessitated by campus needs.

  • Provide communication when and wherever necessary regarding maintenance, cleaning, weather related cleanup and security.

  • Ensure all inspection requirements are scheduled and are up to date.

  • Hire, train, develop, motivate, evaluate, supervise all maintenance personal; including enacting disciplinary actions as assigned.

  • Manage the control access of the alarm systems and key control procedures at the campus.

  • Manage all mechanical systems at each campus building.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Position Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of three years of practical experience in building and grounds upkeep.

  • General knowledge of geographic area building codes, occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade.

  • Mechanical and electrical knowledge required.

  • Problem solving skills, excellent organizational skills, and ability to effectively communicate and work with a diverse group in a fast-paced environment a must.

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

  • Background check required.
