Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Controls Electrician responsible for panel assembly, mechanical subassemblies, and installing housings or cabinets, electronic controls, devices, panels, sensors, and components. This role involves positioning and connecting wiring harnesses, cables, and lead wires, terminating wiring and components, attaching and fastening terminal lugs, connector pins, and other devices to single or combination twisted wires, and performing drilling, tapping, crimping, and soldering tasks.
Responsibilities
Assemble panels and mechanical subassemblies.
Install housings or cabinets, electronic controls, devices, panels, sensors, and components.
Position and connect wiring harnesses, cables, and lead wires.
Terminate wiring and components.
Attach and fasten terminal lugs, connector pins, and other devices to single or combination twisted wires.
Perform drilling, tapping, crimping, and soldering tasks.
Follow verbal and written instructions to perform electrical and mechanical tasks using fabrication drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and wire lists.
Complete detailed and accurate as-built and quality control documentation.
Essential Skills
Electrical and mechanical assembly experience.
Proficient in troubleshooting and electrical assembly.
Experience with control systems and production environments.
Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
Four (4) years of experience working in the electrical industry.
Current and valid United States driver's license and reliable transportation.
Must successfully pass a background check and drug test.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in wiring and repair.
Ability to read and understand blueprints.
Work Environment
You will work under direct supervision, following verbal and written instructions to perform electrical and mechanical tasks using fabrication drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and wire lists. The work schedule is Monday to Thursday, 6am to 4:30pm . Dress code and specific facility conditions will be discussed during the interview process.
Location
This position is based out of Richmond, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
