JOB SUMMARY
Assists line personnel with all construction, maintenance, or retirement of electric distribution lines. Operates equipment such as forklift, backhoe, trencher, derrick truck and bucket truck.
Continuous progression to Line Technician I is required as outlined in Flints Line Technician Competency and Advancement Program. Completion of the Power Delivery Program within the timeframe of the Competency Program is required.
EDUCATION / TRAINING
Required
:
High school education or equivalent
- 6 months power line experience in overhead and/or underground construction and maintenance
OR
Completion of an approved Electrical Lineworker Program plus a minimum of 3 months power line experience
- Commercial Drivers License (Class A)
