Job Title: Engineering TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking an Assembly Technician with expertise in following electrical technicians and production documentation to assemble, troubleshoot, and repair multiple production components that support Virtual Reality. This role involves manual assembly of opto-electro-mechanical small assemblies, using small equipment, fixtures, and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow sketch assembly instructions, processes, and procedures

• Perform simple and complex optical bonding operations

• Program, test, and troubleshoot various system components

• Report problems with quality, processes, equipment, and materials to the Production Manager

Essential Skills

• Experience crimping and soldering under a microscope

• Experience in mechanical/electrical assembly

• Experience with schematics

• Experience with lab tools, mechanical assembly, crimping, harness, and soldering

• 1-5 years of experience as a Technician

• Experience using small hand tools

• Experience with small optical, electronic, or mechanical components (working through a microscope)

• Ability to follow production drawings, sample assemblies, or procedures

• Ability to position and align parts (including optical components) in a specified relationship to each other in a fixture or by hand

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with optics

• Experience with mechanical assembly

Work Environment

The work is 100% onsite, with a small team of under 10 engineers/technicians. The company culture promotes a family environment with no micromanagement. The first Friday of every month features a catered lunch. Flexible hours are available after training is completed. This role offers the potential for extension or permanent placement after June 2025, depending on skills and scope of work.
