SUMMARY:

Responsible for maintaining and repairing all existing boilers and chillers and computerized controls of all relating equipment for the entire property central plant.

MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma, GED, or trade school equivalent required.
  • Three years or better in trade and certified in H.V.A.C. recovery and chiller and boiler controls.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Be organized, flexible and able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines pressures.
  • Must be able to maintain high levels of confidence.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Report to work timely, in proper uniform and appearance and maintain standard throughout the assigned shift.
  • Must be capable of maintaining schedules maintenance on all boilers and chillers and related equipment.
  • Have basic knowledge of the following skills:
    • Work efficiently and safely with all hands and power tools.
    • To install or assist outside contractors on larger installation projects.
    • To assist outside contractors on maintenance service contracts.
    • To respond to thermostat changes for various departments requests at the central plant.
    • Work around electrical and water and gas feed lines.
  • Maintain an orderly schedule of preventative maintenance in central plant.
  • Respond promptly to needs of company.
  • Maintain a constant awareness of safety problems and report unsafe conditions and exposure of shift supervisor.
  • Attending and successfully completing all internal training courses and requirements
