Job Description
Role summary/Purpose
The Director, Strategy and Business Development plays a key role leading inorganic growth activity across GE HealthCare.
Essential d uties
Supports Managing Directors in executing on all Business Development transactions including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, equity investments, partnerships / alliances, and licensing
Leads various phases of the transaction process including analysis of inorganic strategy and markets, target identification and screening, structuring, valuation, due diligence, negotiation and closing
Supports prioritization of global market segment requirements, performs gap analysis to business unit portfolio, and defines strategic and tactical steps to best position segment for accelerated growth
Works with BD leadership to manage communication and alignment with key internal stakeholders to support effective decision making and transaction approval processes
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated aptitude for both managing and prioritizing multiple projects and initiatives
Team leadership and facilitation skills in a matrix organization and interacting with senior executives
Strong problem solvingskills
Clear thinking: Some experience simplifying strategy into specific actions with clear accountability, making decisions with speed and accuracy based on best available information, and communicating priorities clearly and concisely
Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high ethical, moral, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others
Adaptable/Flexible: Open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
Excellent working knowledge of English language (oral and written)
Required q ualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, Life Sciences or Medicine
Minimum 8years of experience with a minimum of 6 years of relevant business development experience in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, licensing, divestitures, joint ventures in a corporate, investment banking, or consulting environment
Experience supporting and / or leading certain elements of the transaction process including: analyzing strategy and markets, identifying and screening targets, structuring, valuation, due diligence, negotiation and closing

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $176,792.00-$265,188.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
