SCRAM Systems Web Services Developer (IID) in Albany, New York

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced full stack web developer with experience in .NET, .Net Core and SQL server to act as a member of our web development team. This role has potential to grow into a team lead position. Major responsibilities will be mentoring less experienced developers, developing, maintaining and improving web applications built on older .NET Web Forms and MVC technologies, and developing new user-facing features using .Net core and React.js.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with a team members onshore and offshore, collaborate with other development teams writing code, contributing to a large set of applications using multiple shared projects and libraries.?

  • Design, develop, maintain and improve exiting web applications using Web Forms, MVC, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Entity Framework and Stored Procedures

  • Design and develop modern Web APIs and responsive web applications utilizing .NET Core. Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions and triggers.

  • Integrate third-party APIs and web services to enhance system functionality.?

  • Use version control software for effective team collaboration and code management.

  • Perform unit testing and debugging to ensure the quality of the code, Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as needed

  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Translate user requirements into development tickets.

  • Mentor and support junior developers, fostering a collaborative environment.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiency in developing modern and scalable applications using ASP.NET, C#, .NET, .NET Core

  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, SSMS, stored procedures, and database design principles.?

  • Experience developing web services and integrating with third-party APIs.?

  • Strong experience with API testing tools like Swagger, Postman, Apigee, Rest Assured.

  • Familiarity with version control systems.

  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues in a live environment.

  • Familiarity with general coding best practices and architectural concepts.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to automating repetitive tasks.

  • Ability to understand and implement technical requirements.

Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in C#, .NET, .NET Core and SQL Server development.

  • BS in Computer Science or Information Technology degree
