Responsibilities

The Sr. Director, Associate Engagement is responsible for aligning work across Ascension creating Moments that Matter through the way we work, overseeing and designing strategies that creates an environment for associate flourishing. The Sr. Director partners with leaders in Operational and Human Resources functions to deliver priorities and expected outcomes, playing a critical role in ensuring the associate experience is foundational in Ascension Culture.

  • Provides human resources leadership to organizational engagement, experience and culture strategies that cultivate and grow the Ascension Associate Experience that equips leaders and enables all associates to build a strong connection to our culture anchored in a foundation that is unique to Ascension.

  • Partners across the enterprise with senior leaders and key stakeholders to design and implement meaningful Culture, Wellbeing and Recognition offerings; responsible for taking a collaborative leadership role in all initiatives that impact associate experience.

  • Defines the effectiveness of Associate Engagement deliverables and efforts, identifies areas for improvement and adapts strategies accordingly.

  • Ensures there are processes and structures in place to deliver results on time, within budget and aligned to Ascension’s Strategic Plan.

  • Fosters a culture that creates an environment for associate flourishing and how the work of every associate contributes to our Mission.

Requirements

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management

Additional Preferences

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred

  • 7 years of experience required, 10 years preferred

  • Strong business acumen with ability to drive change in a large, complex organization with matrix reporting relationships.

  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize multiple demands and projects.

  • Prior experience working in complex/matrixed organization

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and create consensus

  • Demonstrated experience with change management and conflict management
