ANALYST, OPERATIONS PERFORMANCE AT PRIMEFLIGHT

The Analyst of Operations Performance supports airport stations across a specified region in the United States. This role focuses on the development and implementation of standard KPI metrics, dashboards, and data management practices to boost operational efficiency within the PrimeFlight Cargo network. Responsibilities also include managing data integrity, advancing business intelligence, and employing data analytics and data science techniques. To excel in this position, a profound understanding of business operations and stakeholder needs is crucial for crafting effective data-driven products and decision-making tools

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for identifying, developing, and executing standards and best practices across network operations to drive operational excellence

  • Establish standard work instructions focused on creating solutions to reach goals that are safety and customer centric

  • Develop or enhance knowledge about third party logistics and/or warehouse, fulfillment, and transportation operations, including hands-on time in the warehouse

  • Identify projects, define metrics, and create data products (dashboards, reports, machine learning models, etc.) in line with the company's strategic initiatives

  • Work with cross-functional support and operations teams across the organization

  • Build and maintain analytical infrastructure

  • Identify and facilitate process improvements leveraging technology

  • Study thought leadership in data science, data engineering, and data governance

  • Ensure data standardization and data integrity across the organization, including data cataloging

  • Create SOPs, work instructions, and other documentation as needed

  • Contribute to strategic and operational analysis, including interfacing with stakeholders, defining questions, sourcing, and cleaning the data

  • Assist as needed with the training of "Citizen Data Scientists" from throughout the organization, both in data quality and data analysis

  • May create ad hoc reports and contribute to other duties, projects as needed

  • May be assigned other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 18 years of age or older

  • Eligible to work in the United States

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Data Science, Business Analytics or Industrial Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred

  • Formal coursework in data science subject areas required (data mining, machine learning, business analytics, optimization, econometrics, probability)

  • 5+ years of experience related to data analysis, business intelligence, and reporting

  • Previous experience in the logistics field a strong plus

  • Experience working with business intelligence tools/software to analyze data

  • Experience creating data-related products (ex: machine learning models, dashboards, reports, Excel tools, app, and/or algorithms)

  • Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills; must be able to multi-task, problem solve, prioritize and work under pressure

  • Ability to work with a wide range of cross-functional teams, such operations, engineering, IT, and finance, and is as comfortable with interpersonal interactions as with code

  • Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of adaptive technologies or methods as necessary

  • Ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) and present information to stakeholders

  • Ability to influence without authority, build strong connections across departments and throughout operations

  • Travel requirement >50% travel between airport stations and for meetings

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents

  • Ability to work and support an 24/7 operation including holidays

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus

  • Pass a background check and drug screen

  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY/WORKING CONDITIONS MAY INCLUDE:

  • Prolonged standing and walking in an indoor/outdoor environment as applicable

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

  • Position is generally sedentary, sitting for long periods of time
