Philips Senior Manager, Global Transportation in Reedsville, Pennsylvania

The Senior Manager for Ultrasound Global Transportation will serve as an integral link enabling the Integrated Warehousing and Distribution (IWD) team to execute upon the transportation and warehousing strategy while ensuring consistent and predictable deliveries inbound to factories, between factories, and outbound to Ultrasound customers.

This position holder will be responsible for $59M annual logistics and warehousing spend management.

In this role, you are responsible for:

  • Global transportation responsibilities for all modes of transport supporting the Ultrasound business

  • Managing transportation carrier relationships and performance to ensure required service levels are met; leading monthly and quarterly performance reviews

  • Understanding customer and business unit transportation requirements to ensure necessary warehousing & transportation models exist and are executed upon

  • Management of transportation and logistics forecasts necessary to support business tenders, savings funnel, and 3-year strategic plan of record

  • Management of North America transportation and warehousing teams and coordination with China Ultrasound IWD teams

  • Delivery of continuous improvement initiatives focused on performance and cost improvement as well as achieving sustainability targets

  • Keeping abreast of all geopolitical, import/export, regulatory requirements, and their impact on freight service/expense.

You're the right fit if you have a customer-first attitude and the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or related industry

  • 7+ years of experience in transportation management, logistics, or related fields

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within a matrixed, cross functional, large global, high-volume distribution organization

  • Ability to create savings funnel and to manage large-scale logistics projects

  • Ability to deliver improvements for on time customer shipment performance

  • Very strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively across the entire organization.

  • Proven and demonstrated problem solving skills
