Actalent Supply Chain Planner in Redmond, Washington

Job Title: Supply Chain PlannerJob Description

The main function of a Supply Chain Planner is to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to the production schedule. The role involves reviewing and distributing production work and shipment schedules, compiling reports on inventory levels, and managing costs. This role includes supplier coordination to support supply planning, meeting with suppliers on project calls and strategic meetings to discuss capacity and production plans. The role requires receiving feedback from suppliers in various forms and transposing the information into other data sets. Additionally, the role will involve occasional negotiation, escalation, and reporting as needed with support from management and the leadership team.

Responsibilities

  • Examine documents, materials, and products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformation to standards and specifications.

  • Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements and material priorities.

  • Record production data including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures.

  • Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands.

  • Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, or other interruptions.

  • Distribute production schedules and work orders to departments.

  • Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information

  • Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback

  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production

  • Experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with supplier relations

  • Experience with Excel

  • Experience with Planning Software (Oracle, SAP)

  • 5-7 years related experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • Direct experience in supply planning

  • Industry agnostic, with a plus if it was construction-based

Work Environment

This role involves working with various technologies such as Microsoft Excel, Power Applications, and third-party software applications. The work environment will require virtual meetings with suppliers and other stakeholders. The role may include occasional negotiations and escalations, supported by management and the leadership team. The performance will be measured by the quality of work and feedback from the team.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
