As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Android development, you will create innovative solutions that enhance multimedia capabilities across various Microsoft products. Responsibilities

• Care deeply about building outstanding consumer-grade mobile applications.

• Build consumer grade applications for Android.

• Work with product managers, data scientists, and marketing to implement strategies that drive user growth, engagement, and retention. This includes optimizing onboarding flows, improving product features, and delivering scalable infrastructure.

• Find a path to get things done despite roadblocks to get your work into the hands of users quickly and iteratively.

• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, design-driven, product development cycle.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, Kotlin and/or Java

• OR equivalent experience.

• 2+ working knowledge of mobile application architecture, design patterns, and UI/UX principles.

Additional or preferred qualifications

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, Kotlin and/or Java

• OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, Kotlin and/or Java

• OR equivalent experience.

• Experience building Android applications from scratch.

• Experience with mobile cross platform frameworks such as React Native.

• Experience in internationalization and localization, scaling products, applications, and engineering efforts to drive global growth.

• Experience with full stack and backend development.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
