Electrical Engineer

Job Description: Design, develop, modify, or evaluate electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry, or systems related to Microsoft technologies. Research, design, develop, test, or monitor the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems that support Microsoft technologies. Develop test plans in the preparation and execution of design testing or prototype fabrication. Analyze designs and devices to establish operating parameters, conduct experimental tests through both simulation and physical evaluation, and perform analyses on data generated from test results to verify and validate whether operating parameters are met. Identify root causes for technical issues, flaws, and design challenges, and develop and implement solutions. May select device materials and components based on analysis of specifications and reliability. May generate documentation related to designs, including development status, technical specifications, functionality, materials, compatibility with other devices, and testing procedures. Telecommuting permitted less than 50% per week within same geographic location as assigned MSFT office location.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering; Computer Engineering with electrical or electronics coursework; or related
• Experience: 12 months in any electrical or electronics related occupation
• Education or Experience in: Circuit Design; Schematic Capture; PCB Layout Design; I2C Protocol; SPI Protocol; Power Circuits; High Frequency Circuits; FPCA Design; Battery/Charging; Development Board Design; Circuit Failure Analysis; and MIPI Protocol.

Pay Range and Benefits Information:  The offered base pay range for this specific position (ML87666), in Redmond, WA, is $134,379 - $164,379.

Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.?
