We are seeking apassionate, experienced, and versatile Dance Instructorwith expertise inHip Hop and Street Style danceto join our growing team. This role will also value skills in Tap, cultural dance styles, and other genres, with opportunities for expanded studio involvement based on your unique talents.
Key Responsibilities Dance Instruction and Student Care
- Teach engaging and technically sound classes, with a primary focus onHip Hop and Street Style danceand opportunities to teachTap, cultural dance styles, and other genres.
- Choreograph dynamic routines for performances, competitions, and recitals, celebrating diversity and creativity.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and growth-oriented environment for students of all ages and skill levels.
- Manage classroom behavior while ensuring safety and creating a welcoming space for every dancer.
- Build meaningful relationships with students and families, promoting community and camaraderie.
Event Coordination and Studio Support
- Assist in planning and executing events, including recitals, showcases, and competitions.
- Support the studios core values through teamwork, encouragement, and leadership during events.
Preferred Skills(Not Required):
- Contribute to the studios social media presence by creating engaging content and celebrating student achievements online.
- Utilize video editing tools, graphic design, or marketing strategies to enhance the studio's outreach.
- Classical Dance Styles: Tap, Jazz, Line, etc.
Professional Development
- Commit to ongoing education in dance instruction, choreography, and industry trends (e.g., workshops, certifications).
- Embrace the studios mission of creating well-rounded dancers and compassionate individuals.
Qualifications Required:
- Proven experience teaching Hip Hop and Street Style danceto various age groups.
- Strong foundation inTapand/orcultural dance styles(e.g., African, Latin, or other traditional forms).
- Ability to choreograph routines that align with studio values and student goals.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to foster collaboration between students, parents, and staff.
- High level of professionalism, reliability, and passion for dance education.
Preferred:
- Experience choreographing for competitions or performances.
- Basic knowledge of social media and content creation to support studio marketing efforts.
- Familiarity with studio management software is a plus.
- Willing to assist in the creation of new programs.
