Analyze, design, and develop automotive exterior components and concepts; generate three dimensional layouts and two-dimensional drawings using CATIA software; verify the performance and manufacturability of designed components; calculate and optimize costs and weight of design; coordinate supporting activity with related departments, suppliers, and factories; create packaging; develop new systems and work with manufacturing to develop mass production parts. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; 5 years of applicable automotive engineering experience; 1 year of experience utilizing CATIA V5/V6 to create detailed 3D models for automotive exterior parts, and experience utilizing PLM software to store data; 1 year of experience utilizing CATIA V5/V6 to create detailed 2D drawings and specifications for automotive exterior parts; 1 year of experience creating Technical Parts Specifications using PowerPoint & Excel; 1 year of experience benchmarking automotive exterior construction methods; and 1 year of experience evaluating styling concept sketches and clay models to conduct feasibility of exterior construction.
