Job Description

Operate equipment to accurately utilize raw ingredient materials in a precise manner to create flavor products. Ensure understanding of all safety, quality, and operational procedures relevant to the role. Utilize tools and electronic/computer systems for compounding and container filling. Use computer, scan gun, or other tools and processes to correctly match ingredients to shop orders. Follow production, safety, quality, and operational procedures to verify and record information during the production process. Ensure proper ventilation and use of safety equipment. Develop an understanding of Quality Control requirements for sampling, product testing, swabbing of equipment, etc. and follow policies surrounding Quality Control needs. Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Correctly match ingredients to shop orders using computer, scan gun, or other tools

• Follow production, safety, quality, and operational procedures to verify and record information

• Ensure proper ventilation and use of safety equipment

• Understand and follow Quality Control requirements for sampling, product testing, and equipment swabbing

• Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Skills

• 1-2 years of manufacturing or production experience in a pharmaceutical, food, or nutraceutical environment

• Experience in lifting, blending, and machine operating

• Knowledge of machine operating/production

• Strong knowledge and emphasis on safety

• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math skills, including ratios and weighing of product

• Knowledge of FDA/GMP regulations

• Ability to follow procedures and directions to properly identify product and follow formulas

• Ability to read, write, and understand English

• Ability to lift 50-75+ lbs on a regular basis

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Good attitude and ability to learn

• Motivated

• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

Work Environment

This is a flavor and fragrances manufacturing company specializing in sweet flavors such as strawberry, root beer, and peanut butter. The team consists of only 15 people, so the ability to work independently and take initiative is essential. Training will be from 5 am to 1:30 pm for 2-4 weeks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
