About the Role

As a CBRE Sales Consultant, you will support clients with strategic planning through the application of sales techniques and operations.

  • Plan, Find & Transact: electrification consultancy, site selection, grants/incentives management, site acquisition.

  • Design, Build & Electrify: site design, engineering, construction, utility engagement, commissioning.

  • Operate & Maintain: EV charging infrastructure preventative and corrective maintenance, optimized operations.

  • Integrated Program Management: full project lifecycle, including program analytics, cost assurance.

What You’ll Do

Develop technical solutions for the “Operate & Maintain” portion of our EV Solutions.

Act as a subject matter authority of the EV Solutions Center of Excellence, in support of the business development, sales, solutions and account teams.

Develop client solutions, which include design output, pricing, staffing model development, utility engagement, permitting plan, etc.

Continuously improve based on customer feedback and evolving market dynamics.

Stay attuned to customer needs, participate in client discovery and solution meetings to showcase CBRE's technical products and dedication to delivering value.

Be proficient in the competitive landscape of product offerings and able to ensure that CBRE’s product differentiation vs competition is well defined, articulated and understood.

Develop commercial terms, including pricing and standard contract documents that will form the baseline for commercial negotiations and that achieve desired CBRE pricing criteria/governance.

Coordinate the bid management process through the development of RFI’s, RFP’s and client presentations.

Work with key collaborators to refresh the go-to-market approach in key markets.

Maintain relationships with our existing and prospective client base in establishing strong personal credibility and ensure needs are reflected in the solution.

Build awareness and culture of cross-selling and improved focus on new business cultivation.

Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assignments and provide innovative solutions.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

  • Strong project management, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Proficiency in technology and ability to adapt to new tools and software.

  • Outstanding organizational skills with a sophisticated inquisitive approach.

  • Strong preference for experience in EV charging, infrastructure design, engineering or deployment of EV charging infrastructure and electrical engineering.

  • Proven track record in technical sales and ability to be a key member of a commercial/deal team.

  • Experience with distributed renewable energy (solar) and battery storage is a plus.

  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication abilities (in English).

  • Ability to lead customer discussions towards resolution and redefine business and technical requirements into clear, high-quality solutions.

  • Financial fluency and competence.

  • International experience is a plus – ability to be successful in different market environments and cultural settings.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The maximum salary for the Sales Consultant, EV Solutions PJM position is $160,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
