Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer I

As Nuvolo’s Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer I you will be responsible for executing functional and regression test cases within specified test environments with a high degree of accuracy.

As a Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer I, your role will include:

• Responsible for Test cycle executions throughout the different releases and products.

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.

• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.

• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate release testing activities.

• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.

• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.

• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet customer needs.

• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.

• Monitor debugging process results.

• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.

• Manages a Product's QA efforts by being the SME of the project(in depth knowledge)

• Reviews and validates requirements and technical specifications

• Develops and executes test plans and detailed test cases based on requirements and/or customer feedback and prioritization

• Documents results; offer observations or improvements after analysis of test results and overall product quality

• Collaborates with the development team on bug fix verification and validation (regression testing)

• Communicates professionally at all levels within and outside of the organization

• Supports, designs, develops, and enhances test processes and reporting for QA processes

• Manages testing efforts for the project and tasks under tight deadlines

• Mentors and provides training assistance to QA Engineers

• Shares knowledge with others (knowledge transfer sessions, internal/external presentations)

• Automation roadmap strategization.

This role could be a fit for you if you bring:

• 3+ years of experience with Mobile Testing using real devices and simulator

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, mathematics or a related area.

• 4-6 years experience in software development life cycle and software testing experience. Agile/Scrum is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies and processes with the ability to analyze and elaborate on requirements.

• Good understanding of SQL, HTML, CSS, Java, XML, HTTP protocol, browser debugging tools, and testing RESTful microservices with Postman.

• Experienced in using various bug tracking, source control, and build release tools, like JIRA, GIT, Jenkins, BitBucket etc.

• 3-4 years of experience in Test automation development experience using Selenium and Java or related coding languages to create scripts for both functional and GUI. Cucumber experience is a plus.

• Self-starter with a willingness and ability to fully own functional areas under test with minimal supervision.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Organized and process-oriented, with the ability to maintain excellent process/testing/build release documentation and reports.

• Ability to adapt and willingness to learn new technology or techniques.

• Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel.

• Experienced in coordinating with third-party testing tools.

Bonus points for:

• Experience with JavaScript is a plus

• 1+ years of experience with ServiceNow is preferred
