Available Title(s): 262J-YNCSNPS - Library & Archives Paraprofessional 2 Business Title: Library & Archives Paraprofessional 2 Employee Type: Classified Position Details: The Opportunity: Are you passionate about helping patrons and ensuring smooth library operations? As a key member of our team, you will take primary responsibility for assisting patrons at our two Circulation desks. You'll process initial Interlibrary lending and borrowing requests through ILL systems, provide backup for other resource sharing, and lead/train temporary employees in all aspects of Access Services. Your typical schedule will be Tuesday-Saturday, 11am - 8pm. Your schedule may be adjusted during summer and other academic breaks or depending on assignments. Required Qualifications: • High school graduation or equivalent and one year of experience in the functional operations of a library or archives. Equivalent education or experience will substitute. • Ability to work Tuesday-Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Schedule may vary depending on assignments. Ability to cover regular night/weekend shifts. • Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with https://policies.wsu.edu/prf/index/manuals/safety-policies-procedures-manual/sppm-7-10/#four_3 and departmental driving standards. Preferred Qualifications: • Working familiarity with the libraries' ILS (Alma); experience with Summit, ILLiad, RAPID, and Document Delivery; knowledge of and experience with Workday and MyWSU; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
