Ascendis Pharma Senior Associate, Finance Operations - Job ID: 1614 Princeton, New Jersey

The Senior Associate position is based in Princeton and reports directly to the Director, Finance Operations. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience include the following:

  • 3-5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field of study.

  • Experience with IFRS, with detailed understanding of accounting methods, reporting, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and revenue recognition.

  • Strong analytical, proactive problem-solving skills, and collaboration skills critical to the role.

  • Play a key role in developing and implementing efficient processes and that will scale with the company

  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; extremely organized, detail-oriented, and mindful of deadlines

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate issues and solutions to all levels of management.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple functional areas in a collaborative, team environment.

  • Experience within Pharma/Biotech industry is preferred

  • Experience with ERP and accounting system, preferably D365

  • Ability to Travel up to 10% of the time domestically and internationally

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for Expense Management including auditing, accruals, and providing training and support to the business.

  • Responsible as Credit Card Administrator including opening and closing of credit cards, credit card maintenance and providing support to the business.

  • Support Purchase Order Process including creation, maintenance, and training

  • Responsible for accounting related activities including but not limited to account analysis and reconciliation, as well as monthly OPEX accrual entries.

  • Support Vendor Onboarding process including creation and maintenance.

  • Responsible to implement, document, and maintain adequate and effective internal controls and processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

  • Serves as a superuser in D365 finance module
