PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC) is a part of the Office of the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) Board area and reports to both SAP SEs Global CEO and the Audit Committee of the Supervisory Board. Our mission is to advance SAPs business goals by promoting a culture of integrity, and by mitigating a defined set of legal risks. Our focus includes compliance with the FCPA (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act), UK (United Kingdom) Bribery Act, and other global anti-corruption and bribery laws.

Within the OEC, is the Partner Compliance & Third Party Audit Team which is responsible for managing audits and compliance assessments of SAPs business partners. SAP executes audit clauses in the agreement with our partners and engages independent audit firms to perform the audit fieldwork. The Third Party Audit Team works closely with the external auditor and the local OEC Field Compliance Officers (FCO) to ensure the audit is conducted as planned, the report is generated, and any risks identified are mitigated.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The position reports to the Third Party Compliance Audit Manager and is supervised by the Team Lead on daily work and tasks. Team members also contribute to a wide array of global team projects.

WHAT YOULL DO

The Data Provisioning and Analysis Specialist will be expected to support the independent audit firms with the preparation and analysis of SAP partner and supplier data and documents to enable the audit fieldwork. The candidate will support data provisioning and analysis work for all the third party audits globally.

Primary tasks (including but not limited to below):

  • Independently perform data retrieval and data analysis with minimal supervision.

  • Download, review, and provide SAP data and documentation to external audit firms.

  • Perform data analysis, on the internal SAP data to assist with the risk-based selection of samples and calculation of discounts provided to third parties in sales transactions.

  • Serves as liaison between SAP and the external auditor teams who are requesting supporting data and documents for audits and answering reconciliation and follow-up questions to clarify information in the provided data sets and explain SAP processes.

  • Proactively highlight concerns and/or discrepancies observed/noted in the data and documents.

  • Develop collaborative work relationships within own team and cross-functional and virtual teams.

  • Communicate work assignments clearly and on time.

  • Serves as a trusted advisor and functional peer to other teams in the organization.

  • Work proactively, with full responsibility to set priorities, and full accountability for data accuracy and quality.

  • Onboarding of new team members when required and being a good role model for new joiners.

Must have (including but not limited to below):

  • Exceptionally good understanding of SAP technology, solutions, and services.

  • High proficiency in working with various systems and tools, especially finding, and retrieving third party sales transactions and accounting documents in the systems ERP/ ISP and CRM (Customer Relationship Management).

  • Preferred knowledge of the following systems: BW ( BEX Web) reports (CO-PA, Contract Analysis, etc.), CMS (Contract Management Solution), Harmony, PRM (Partner Relationship Management), PAMS (Audit Management), LEX and Process Unity for Partner Due Diligence, TPRM (Third Party Risk Management) for Supplier Due Diligence, and Dow Jones and Orbis for screening.

  • Knowledge of SAPs Direct and Indirect Channel process

  • Knowledge of SAPs order and contract booking and billing process

  • Good accounting knowledge for understanding debits, credits, receivables, payables, payment clearance, etc. to be able to conclude the payment status of an invoice issued to a third party.

  • Ability to do in-depth research, analyze data, and summarize the findings in a precise manner.

  • Ability to follow defined processes/procedures and to develop new processes/procedures, due to changing environments, and incorporate into the existing processes.

  • Hands-on attitude, self-managed working style with a focus on getting things done without compromising on quality. Capable of working in an agile work environment.

  • Proficient in MS Office suite, especially Microsoft Excel (excel training will not be provided)

Minimum level of required education :

  • Bachelor's Degree; areas of specialization could be Finance, Accounting, Business Administration

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum level of experience required for this position is 3-5 years in a relevant function in an SAP internal team like Internal Audit, Commercial Finance, O2I, Cloud Deal Desk, CoE (Center of Expertise), etc.
