The ideal candidate will work closely with B& N\'s Pacific Northwest Region Director and the B& N Planning Team to develop and grow Burgess & Niple\'s presence as a premier planning consultant in the Portland metropolitan area and beyond. Develop client relationships and engage in business development efforts with support from our marketing team and office leaders Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal/external project teams to identify issues, develop and analyze concepts, recommend solutions, prepare reports and other communication materials, and engage with the public Assist in the development of transportation planning project proposals Participate in delivering professional services related to all aspects of transportation planning to a wide variety of clients including state Departments of Transportation (DOTs), Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs), and local governments Skills and Qualifications: Completion of a 4-year degree in Urban/City/Regional Planning, Geography (urban), Civil Engineering or similar 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in community planning, transportation planning, or safety planning Certification by American Institute of Certified Planners preferred Excellent communication skills and detail oriented Project management and business development experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office; GIS software preferred Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
