The Opportunity with McKinstry
We are currently seeking an Electrical Service Manager to join the team as a member of our growing Electrical Construction Western Washington division. The Electrical Service Manager carries out all duties required for the successful operation, service, and maintenance of common area electrical functions of facilities in which we perform electrical installations and service. Additional responsibilities include:
Supervise the Electrical Coordinator
Grow electrical service account base, through business development activities internal and external to McKinstry.
Develop scopes of work, estimates, and proposals for small projects.
Maintain open and positive communication (both in verbal and written form) with employees, departments, electricians, customers and vendors
Maintain appropriate staffing level and workload distribution to meet customer and business needs
Ensure compliance with company policies and recommend policy changes as needed
Responsible for the efficient operation of the Service Department and expense control
Proactive and reactive management of all service personnel including hiring, training, motivation, career development, reviews and safety
Organize and present at weekly tech meetings and safety training
Assist with annual merit reviews and development planning for service personnel
Analyze service productivity and recommend changes to improve customer service and profitability
Maintain high-quality service delivery in an efficient, productive and profitable manner
Assist technicians on installations and accounts to ensure excellent work quality
What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry
(5) years experience of managing multiple electricians and or service technicians in a commercial electrical service environment
(5) years experience in Service Management and Dispatch software, GPS vehicle monitoring and Microsoft Office & Outlook
Excellent written and oral communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required
Applicant must be familiar with a variety of the electrical field's concepts, practices, best practice, and procedures including the technical ability to understand and interpret Electrical Codes, Life Safety Codes, NFPA, Uniform Building Codes and Lighting Systems where applicable
Experience and knowledge of electrical applications, permits, electrical maintenance goals, Facility Maintenance Application & PM standards
Experience developing proposals and estimates for small projects.

T he pay range for this position is $84,240 - $130,680 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
