Job Title: Segmentation TechnicianJob Description

The Segmentation Technician will be a highly proficient and quality-focused producer of Pre-Operative Plans. They will focus on their individual production efforts to meet team and department production targets.

Responsibilities

• Create cases to be completed using a proprietary case management system.

• Review CT Scans for conformity to Mako Surgical protocol.

• Segment CT Scans using specialized software to create 3D Anatomical Bone Models for use in Robotic Surgery.

• Create Pre-Operative Surgical Plans using the previously created Digital Bone Models for robotically assisted Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement.

• Review CT segmentations and Surgical Plans for accuracy of anatomical landmark selection, and implant sizing and positioning.

• Upload completed Pre-plans to field-based personnel.

• Document all activities according to prescribed methods and procedures.

• Follow work instructions exactly to deliver consistent output.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in design software, Photoshop, CAD, etc.

• Strong computer skills

• Ability to follow detailed work instructions

• Attention to detail

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• HS Diploma (Associate or higher preferred, ideally in a STEM-related field)

• 2 years of work experience in fast-paced environments or computer-oriented roles

• Knowledge of anatomy highly preferred

• Experience in biomedical, design, biology, data entry, graphic design, and scribing

Work Environment

This is an in-office position with a relatively quiet atmosphere. The work schedule is the 2nd shift from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am, Monday through Friday, with voluntary overtime up to 10 hours. The dress code is business casual. The role involves working with cutting-edge technology in one of the largest growth drivers in the medical device industry.
