B Line is looking for a qualified dispatcher/scheduler to provide transportation dispatching services at our office in Plainville. This position will answer to the Transportation Manager and work alongside other full-time dispatcher/scheduler. The selected candidate will have or be trained to obtain a V endorsement on their CT driver's license. This will require a DOT medical exam, a pre-employment drug screen, and police background check, all paid for by the company. On occasion, the position will be required to provide student transportation to support driver emergency call outs. This is a salary position working 8-hour shifts Mon-Fri. Hours depend on the shift, 6am-2pm for the early shift or 9am-5pm for the late shift. This schedule may rotate from time to time as needed. Candidates must meet the following requirements: ? Be at least 25 years old and have had a CT driverand license for at least 3 years. ? Possess a good driving record. ? Can pass a pre-employment and random drug screens. ? Be proficient with a computer and phone apps. ? Have extensive knowledge of CT roadways and traffic patterns. ? Be able to work with a variety of different people under stressful circumstances. ? Must have good organizational skills. ? Be willing to answer after hour calls - company cell phone provided. ? Eligible to work within the US. ? Have a friendly demeanor. This candidate will be a good problem solver and able to work independently. The position is eligible to earn an annual 5% performance bonus and earn paid time off after their 1st year of employment.
